Kinkora Regional High School

Today is the first day of class for 2020.

Any student who is interested in submitting artwork to be exhibited in the Premier Dennis King’s office should see Ms. Pendergast. A new program has started to exhibit the art of students from every school in P.E.I. and it would be great for KRHS to be represented.

The Foods 421 class did a wonderful job organizing a seniors’ Christmas tea on Dec. 17. Students prepared finger sandwiches, sweets, tea and coffee, and enjoyed some time getting to know a senior in the community. There was an excellent turn-out.

KRHS students and staff contributed to the Toys for Tots toy drive. All gifts were delivered on Dec. 18.

Looking further into the month, there is a parent council meeting on Jan. 21 at 6 p.m.

Final exams are Jan. 27-31

Montague Regional High School

Students showed their Christmas spirit this year with Christmas Sweater Day and Red and Green Day. Many staff and students showcased their hockey skills in a competitive but fun student-versus-teachers hockey game.

Today is the first day of school in 2020.

Looking ahead, the exam period runs Jan. 27-31. See the school website for a schedule. There is no school on Feb. 3 as it is school effectiveness day. The first day of second semester is Feb. 4.

The MRHS Student Thrift Store is open at lunch. All students are urged to drop in and check it out. There are lots of name brands, and everything is free.

Charlottetown Rural High School

Camille Bourgeois is the winner of the Charlottetown Legion black and white poster contest. She was presented with a certificate and prize during a French class in December by John Yeo, first vice-president, Branch 1, Charlottetown Legion.

Colonel Gray High School

The Grade 11 Math Assessment is Jan. 24, and final exams will continue through the following week.

Any students needing help with math or science can attend the help centre in the library conference room, open during lunch time every day.
